Beaver County Jail Overview
Beaver County Jail is the primary detention facility for Beaver County, Pennsylvania. The official Beaver County Jail page lists the facility at 6000 Woodlawn Boulevard, Aliquippa, PA 15001, with the main phone number 724-378-8177. The county page lists Warden Jason Beasom, extension 2380; Deputy Warden Matthew West, extension 2382; and PREA Coordinator Captain Pete Cipolla, extension 7500.
The 2018 PREA audit describes Beaver County Jail as a county facility under the Beaver County Board of Prison Inspectors. It is a secure one-building jail built in 1998 and designed for 402 beds. The jail houses male and female inmates and covers a wide custody range, from work release through maximum custody. Beaver County Jail can hold pretrial detainees, county-sentenced inmates, state-sentenced technical parole violators, ICE detainees, and work-release sentenced inmates.
The Beaver County Sheriff's Office does not operate the whole jail as jail administration, but it runs the Regional Booking Center located at the jail. The RBC handles intake and processing of prisoners, video arraignments, and state and federal database entry. That division of work matters for searches: jail administration handles facility questions, while the Sheriff's RBC is a key channel for a very recent arrest or booking.
The county jail page is the official source for leadership, PREA materials, visitation links, and facility documents.
Use the official jail page for local facility details, then use the phone, VINE, court, DOC, BOP, or ICE channels when a roster search is not available.
Beaver County Jail Capacity
The jail's rated capacity is one of the clearest verified facility facts. The 2018 PREA audit lists Beaver County Jail with a designated capacity of 402 beds and a facility-characteristics population of 313. The audit-day population was 327 inmates, including 268 males and 59 females. The Pennsylvania DOC 2025 county prison inspection schedule also lists Beaver County Jail with 402 beds, Warden Jason Beasom, the Woodlawn Boulevard address, and a scheduled inspection date of November 6, 2025.
Recent research datasets place the Beaver County jail population below the rated capacity, but those figures are not a live headcount. Vera's county data lists a 2023 jail population figure of 234 and a 2022 figure of 222.25. The November 2024 PREA monthly report is an intake and PREA-education source rather than an average daily population report, but it states 118 inmates were committed during November 2024 and that 1,627 PREA booklets had been distributed year to date.
Beaver County Jail Inmate Lookup
No official online Beaver County Jail roster, recent-bookings feed, or mugshot gallery was located on the county site or an official sheriff subdomain. A current Beaver County Jail custody search should start with the jail phone line at 724-378-8177. For very recent arrests, the Regional Booking Center main desk at 724-512-2392 and RBC Sergeant John Kutzko at 724-512-2391 are documented sheriff staff channels. The Sheriff's Criminal Division main desk is 724-770-4602, and after hours the Beaver County Police Center answers at 724-775-0880.
- Call Beaver County Jail first when the question is current county jail custody, housing, release, or visitation eligibility.
- Use the RBC main desk when the arrest is fresh and the question concerns intake, processing, video arraignment, or booking status.
- Search Pennsylvania VINE or call PA VINE at 1-866-972-7284 for custody-status notifications.
- Search UJS Case Search for charges, bail, court dates, docket number, OTN, complaint number, and case status after arrest.
- Use the Pennsylvania DOC locator only for state-sentenced inmates and parolees, not current county jail inmates.
- Use the BOP inmate locator for federal custody and ICE ODLS for immigration custody.
This channel split prevents a common search error. A person held pretrial at Beaver County Jail is not found through the state prison locator. A state-sentenced person transferred to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections is not a current county jail inmate. A federal or ICE detainee may have a separate lookup path even if Beaver County Jail has been involved as a physical detention site.
Beaver County Jail Contact
Use the Woodlawn Boulevard address for jail custody, intake, visitation, and facility administration. Do not confuse it with the Beaver County Courthouse in Beaver, where court offices, the Clerk of Courts, the District Attorney, and many case-record functions are located. Court hearings and jail visitation are not the same destination.

Beaver County Jail Visitation
The official 2025 visitation PDF says visits begin weekly at 0830 starting Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The schedule is by housing unit or status, not by alphabet. The county document does not list visitor approval rules, ID requirements, dress code, visit length, child rules, locker rules, or cancellation policy, so visitors should call Beaver County Jail before traveling when those details matter.
| Day | Morning | Afternoon |
|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | SNU, 0830-1030 | Females, 12 noon-1400 |
| Thursday | Intake, 0830-1030 | RHU, 12 noon-1400 |

| Saturday | Intake, 0830-1030 | General Population and Inmate Workers, 12 noon-1400 |
No visits are listed for New Year's, Flag Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and the day after each listed holiday. SNU means Special Needs Unit. RHU means Restrictive Housing Unit. Confirm the inmate's current unit before selecting a visit block because intake, housing, discipline, medical, or classification changes can affect eligibility.

Beaver County Jail Items
No full general inmate mail policy was located in the county jail materials reviewed. The official item-delivery document found for the jail is the eyeglass and medical-item procedure. It says acceptable medical items must be preapproved by calling 724-378-8177 ext. 7510. Items must be delivered to the jail lobby, searched by correctional and health-care staff, and brought by a person with valid state-issued identification.

Beaver County Jail Booking
Booking at Beaver County Jail is closely tied to the Sheriff's Regional Booking Center. The Sheriff's Office says the RBC handles intake and processing of prisoners, video arraignments, and state and federal database entry. The PREA audit confirms the jail serves as the regional booking center for all law-enforcement agencies in the county and has a separate private booking and intake area with teleconferencing facilities for video arraignments.
After arrest, a person may be transported to the jail, processed through intake, screened, classified, and brought before a magisterial district judge by video. PREA screening is conducted on admission, and the audit says a complete classification assessment is completed by Inmate Services within 48 hours using an objective instrument. The facility maintains medical coverage and has medical housing, clinic, and triage functions. Public sources do not provide a live booking roster, so the practical route remains phone, VINE, UJS, and records request.
- Booking
- The jail and RBC intake step after arrest, before the court case fully develops.
- Pretrial detainee
- A person held before conviction or final case disposition.
- Detainer
- A hold from another agency or case that can prevent release even when local bail is posted.
- Work release
- A custody status that lets approved sentenced inmates leave for work and return to jail.
Beaver County Jail Oversight
Beaver County Jail oversight appears in several official sources. The 2018 PREA audit gives the most detailed facility description, including housing units, medical access, camera coverage, classification, PREA screening, and recreation areas. The audit says the facility has eight housing units, seven male and one female; male areas include work release, special needs, restrictive housing, and general population; and the female unit includes general population, special needs, restrictive housing, and work release cells.
The 2025 PA DOC county prison inspection schedule lists Beaver County Jail for a November 6, 2025 inspection. That schedule confirms the state-listed capacity, address, region, and warden. ICE's Office of Detention Oversight also lists a May 23-25, 2023 inspection for Beaver County Jail in Aliquippa. ICE custody should still be searched through ICE's system, not through a county jail roster.
Note: Confirm current custody, unit status, visitation eligibility, and property rules with Beaver County Jail before traveling to Aliquippa.
